Blanket Stitch

Blanket Stitch is used to finish an edge with a decorative look.

Secure the thread, insert the needle into the fabric about ¼ inch from the edge.Loop the thread under the needle’s point. Then pull the needle through to the other side. Once you make the first stitch, you will be able to loop the thread before you insert the needle. Don’t make the stick tight or it will roll the fabric edge.Continue until you reach the end of the seam and secure the thread.
